Business Development Centre

Business Development Centre (BDC) provides a focal point for the design and delivery of customised training, business consultancy and applied research services for the business community and local government.

Formed in July 2007, the BDC utilises the knowledge, experience and skill of over 300 subject specialists and researchers across the Polytechnic's four schools to provide training and research solutions to our business clients.

The centre consists of four business professionals. All the Business Development Centre staff have had extensive experience in business both in NZ and offshore. There are a total of 8 languages spoken by the Business Development staff, including Japanese, Spanish and German.

"The goal of this centre is to assist individuals and New Zealand businesses in lifting their skills and productivity," says CEO Alan Hampton.
