Applied Science

We teach programmes that are truly applied in nature. You can choose from a great range of programmes including agriculture, animal care, environmental management, horticulture, marine studies, maritime and seafood, and sport and recreation.

We have superb facilities at Windermere Campus including a dive training and aquatic centre. We also make use of the region's wonderful natural environment whenever possible.

You'll have fun on our programmes, gain a national qualification and wonderful pathways to employment and further study both in New Zealand and overseas.

Applied Technology 

Our aim is to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the ever-changing needs of industry.

We offer a wide range of vocational and trade related programmes from pre-employment courses for entry into an apprenticeship, to national certificates and diplomas for those already in their chosen industry. You can get the skills industry needs in architectural technology, automotive, carpentry, electronics, engineering, law enforcement, road transport and welding, from our excellent facilities at Windermere Campus.

We keep pace with technological advances and industry to ensure you'll receive the best training and education possible in todays fast changing world.

Our staff are committed to help you gain a valuable qualification and then guide you into employment in your chosen vocation. We have dedicated staff to support young Maori on Rangitahi Maia programmes.

Business Studies

Based at the Bongard Centre the School of Business provides a wide range of programmes encompassing a variety of business disciplines. You can choose to study accounting, business administration, hospitality, information technology, legal studyies, logistics, management, marketing, travel and tourism programmes.

Links with other institutions allow study at certificate, diploma or degree level in Tauranga. Exchange programmes with other institutions allow you to complete part of your course in other parts of New Zealand or overseas.

Design & Humanities 

Creativity is our guiding principle. Whether your goal in life is to create works of art using physical materials, or to teach others how to achieve their full potential, we can show you how to tap into your creative and nurturing spirit.

The Design segment of this School offers a wide range of programmes including arts, beauty therapy, fashion, graphic design, hairdressing, music, pharmacy and radio.

In the Humanities segment, we'll help you develop skills for the workplace and for further education in adult teaching, early childhood education, health care and social work.

You can build the foundations of your career with our bridging programmes, certificates and diplomas. If you choose to continue study, our programmes pathway into degree programmes at other leading tertiary education providers.
