Parking
Free parking is available at Windermere for students and staff. Parking for people with disabilities (with display of a mobility card) is available in designated areas.
There are designated bicycle racks for students.
Parking is available at:
- The student-only car park on Durham Street opposite the Bay of Plenty Times. The cost is $1.50* per half day, Monday to Friday. You must pay the fee and display a parking sticker. The Information Centre reception issues parking stickers to Bongard Centre students who are enrolled full-time or for a substantial part of the week.
- The Elizabeth Street car parking building. There is a concessionary fee (maximum $5.50* per day) from Monday to Friday during the period February to November. You need to identify yourself by showing your student ID card at the time you ask for concession and you must be studying at the Bongard Centre during the time you are parked.
There is some designated parking in the Bongard Centre basement for people with disabilities (with display of a mobility card).
There are also designated bicycle racks and a limited number of motorcycle spaces for students in the basement.
Refer to a campus map or ask at the Information Centre for where designated areas are located.
* Prices may be subject to change.
Bay of Plenty Regional Council runs Car Share BOP. Have a look, you might be able to save a few dollars by sharing a ride.
Buses
Windermere
Bay Hopper bus route 55 stops at Windermere Campus several times a day. The bus stop is located on Windermere Drive, adjacent to the Student Learning Centre, Te Aongahoro (A Block).
Bongard
The closest bus stop is the Wharf Street terminal, downtown Tauranga.
