Mathematics Bridging Programme Level 4

Could your maths skills could do with a brush up? This course will help you get your head round the numbers for further study.

Preparing for Level 5 mathematics taught at tertiary institutions, this programme will give you certainty in working with numbers. You’ll understand algebraic terms, processes and graphs, and learn to work confidently with geometry, calculus, trigonometry and matrices. 

The first course starts in January and is held over three weeks on Tuesdays to Fridays, 1-4.00pm. The second course starts in July and runs 16 teaching weeks, on Monday evenings, 5.30-7.00pm. These programmes take place at the Bongard Centre.

A specialised programme is available for students entering the NZ Diploma in Engineering Level 6 with focus on algebra, graphs, calculus and trigonometry. This course, taking place at Windermere Campus, also starts in January and runs three weeks on Tuesdays through Fridays, 9.00am-12.00pm.

Entry

Open entry. This is a refresher course and experience at NCEA level 2 (Form 6) is necessary to cope with the fast pace.

Indicative Fees

  • This course is FREE for NZ citizens and permanent residents
  • $1,475 - international student fee

The standard published fee is applicable for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.

An international fee is payable for non New Zealand citizens/permanent residents.

Upon successful completion of the programme you'll receive an achievement record.
