Equipment

Okiwa is our 11.5m Ramco boat. It can carry up to 20 people, 36 tanks and has plenty of storage space. There is a toilet on board, RADAR, a large variety of electronic equipment (including a 150m underwater camera). It is powered by two Johnson 225HP 4 stroke outboard engines.
Weka, our other boat, is 7m long and holds 10.
We have plenty of gear available for Marine Studies students to rent, including Mares and TUSA BCDs and regulators. We also have plenty of dive tanks and a filling station. Air fills are free for our students and tanks can usually be borrowed over the weekend.
As well as the dive gear, we also have other equipment for surveying and specimen sampling, fish identification etc.
