Certificate in Hair Design Level 3

This course of study builds on the introductory course to give you broader skills and knowledge for a career in hairdressing. Add to your work experience with plenty of time spent with real clients in our on-site hair salon.

You'll complete unit standards towards national qualifications. You'll be able to carry out basic long and short hair styling techniques and apply colour using a variety of techniques to industry requirements.

This programme will put your skills and knowledge into practice with regular time spent in the Atrium Hair Design training salon.

During the programme you will spend regular time in our Atrium Hair Design training salon. You’ll work on real clients and put your skills and knowledge gained in the classroom into practice.

Entry

The following minimum criteria apply for entry to this programme:

English Language Requirements

If you are an overseas student or a new resident and English is not your first language, please note that study at tertiary level requires both written and oral participation.

You will be required to have an IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 500.

Indicative Fees

  • $3,044 incl. course related costs

The standard published fee is applicable for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.

An international fee is payable for non New Zealand citizens/permanent residents.
