Entry

Applicants must be 17 years of age or over. If under 20 years old, applicants must hold:

  • 60 NCEA credits Level 2 (within one year)
  • 42 NCEA credits at Level 3 (within three subjects)
  • 16 or less in four subjects in Sixth Form Certificate
  • Three C passes, Bursary

If 20 years old and over you must:

  • Demonstrate academic ability to undertake the nursing degree AND
  • Have the ability to succeed through personal attributes, work and life experience.

Selection is by interview.

International students must be able to demonstrate an adequate level of English that will enable them to meet all health and safety requirements, and to achieve the learning outcomes of the qualification/course on which they enrol.

The standard published fee is applicable for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.

An international fee is payable for non New Zealand citizens/permanent residents.

Study Pathways

Successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing will enable students to sit NCNZ examination for registration as a nurse and apply for registration status as a New Zealand registered nurse.
