Transitional Facility Operator Training (MAF)

All transitional facilities holding, inspecting, treating or disposing 'uncleared risk' goods imported into New Zealand must have an approved biosecurity operator responsible for the facility. This half day course covers the training required to become (or remain) an official transitional facility operator.

This training provides essential biosecurity knowledge including identification of biosecurity checkpoints, roles, responsibilities and requirements, required facility procedures, as well as legislation and standards. Retraining must take place every four years.
