Maritime Restricted Operator's Certificate

This programme prepares you to operate a marine radio to Ministry of Economic Development standards and obtain a license to do so.

Previously known as the Restricted Radio Telephone Operators Certificate (RRTOC). The programme runs for one day, including a one hour examination.

Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) approved maritime programmes are designed to help you gain qualifications for Certificates of Competency in the maritime and fishing industries. You may already be working in the industry and want to obtain further recognised qualifications with this Maritime Radio Operator's Certificate.

Entry

Examination Requirements
On the first day of the course you must bring with you a certified copy of your birth certificate, passport or drivers licence.

Indicative Fees

  • $80 incl. course related costs

The standard published fee is applicable for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.

An international fee is payable for non New Zealand citizens/permanent residents.
