Develop skills and knowledge for employment as a trainee in the building, automotive, engineering, welding, or carpentry trades. This programme will help you make informed decisions on further training by giving you a taste of the various trades options. You will work in teams to complete practical projects and gain job search skills to help you find work experience.
You will develop introductory skills and knowledge in the areas of Carpentry, Automotive, Engineering and Welding. Theory training will be backed up by doing workshop based projects within each subject area.
The programme will prepare you for the workplace and introduces essential skills and safe working practices for the trades area. You will also learn career planning, CV preparation and maths and literacy skills.

If you are an overseas student or a new resident and English is not your first language, please note that study at tertiary level requires both written and oral participation. You may be required to have an IELTS score of 5.5 or a TOEFL score of 500.
