English Language Requirements
If you are an overseas student or a new resident and English is not your first language, please note that study at tertiary level requires both written and oral participation. You may be required to have an IELTS score of 5.5 or a TOEFL score of 500.

Completion of this Certificate with a B+ and higher average gains entry into the NZ Diploma in Business with course credit.
With a vast amount of practical experience in business, Ray is looking to move up the corporate ladder, but he wants the qualifications to back up his skills.
Currently studying his second NZIM certificate, he is enjoying learning new business concepts and reinforcing areas of business he is proficient in.
"These certificates increase my chances of gaining a top job. I have a lot of practical experience but at my age I have to use my head more than my body now."
The father-of-three notes his apprehension at studying again. He attributes the help from the Polytechnic's Education Development Centre staff in breaking down the barriers to study.
"At first it was tough, researching and writing essays, but with their help all of these things have improved a lot. I actually look forward to essays now."
