Gain the knowledge and skills to work as an intermediate level software programmer, multimedia and web developer, network technician/ administrator/engineer, junior IT project manager/help desk staff. You can select from a variety of subject areas such as programming, hardware & operating systems, data communications and multimedia applications. You can credit certain papers to the second year of the University of Waikato's Bachelor of Science (BS c).

Entry

  • Successful completion of Bay of Plenty Polytechnic’s Diploma in Applied Computing Level 5 (DipAppCompL5) programme,
  • OR successful completion of other equivalent Level 5 programmes or qualifications, which are determined by cross credits or assessment of prior learning (APL ),
  • OR other qualification that would be assessed on a case by case basis.

English Language Requirements
If you are an overseas student or a new resident and English is not your first language, please note that study at tertiary level requires both written and oral participation. You may be required to have an IELTS score of 6 or a TOEFL score of 550.

  • Diploma in Applied Computing (DipAppCompL6) Level 6
