This course will enable you to provide safe and therapeutic care to people affected by dementia. The Ministry of Health requires that all care-givers directly involved in caring for subsidised residents in dementia units have achieved competence in unit standards 23920, 23921, 23922 and 23923. This course will provide the essential knowledge and skills required when working with residents affected by dementia.
The course is appropriate for nurses, rest-home staff, community workers, volunteers and other health professionals who work with dementia sufferers.

Learn how to effectively and appropriately care for those with diabetes. This course was created in partnership with, and supported by, the District Health Board (DHB) in order to educate people with diabetes and their families, the general public and health care providers.
The course is appropriate for people who work with, or have regular contact with people with diabetes.
