Blue Lagoon Charitable Trust Scholarship

The Blue Lagoon Charitable Trust Scholarship aims to provide help for hearing impaired or deaf people in the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui areas, with education, seminars, workshops, funding for hearing aids, scholarships and communication equipment.

Students will be advised in writing of the outcome of their application. Scholarship grants cover fees and materials and are paid direct to the supplier.

If an applicant does not complete the study they received the scholarship for, the grant must be repaid to the Trust.

Value: 
Fees and materials. Varying number of awards.
Eligibility: 
  • Applicants can be any age, hearing impaired, deaf, or hearing
  • Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • Applicants living in the Tauranga/Mount Maunganui area will be given preference and their study must benefit those in this area

In addition:

(a) They must have a proven interest in the study to be undertaken
(b) Study can be undertaken in New Zealand or overseas
(c) Study can be at university, polytechnic, by correspondence, or on a professional development course
