BOP Polytechnic John Britten Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship provides funding to a student identified as demonstrating some of the attributes associated with John Britten, the world renowned designer, motorcycle engineer and entrepreneur.

John Britten was known throughout the automotive industry for his excellence, motivation, innovation and initiative. The scholarship aims to encourage these same attributes in students as they enter the industry.

Full fees for the National Certificate in Motor Industry (Automotive and Mechanical Engineering) Level 3 Light Vehicle
Eligibility: 

Applications are open to all students who successfully complete Stage 1 of the National Certificate in Motor Industry (Automotive and Mechanical Engineering) Level 3 Light Vehicle programme and who wish to continue their education full-time with Bay of Plenty Polytechnic to complete Stage 2 of the National Certificate. 

Open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.

Application: 

The application must present evidence of how they demonstrate the following attributes in any area of their life and in relation to the automotive industry, in particular:

  • excellence
  • motivation
  • innovation
  • initiative
