Community Organisation Study Award
The Bay of Plenty Community Organisation Study Awards are intended for adult learners (18+ years of age) who are currently working in a not-for-profit organisation either full or part-time. The community organisation will nominate a staff member for the award (one award per organisation).
In all cases, the award will be pending the individual meeting the programme entry criteria and being accepted on to their intended study programme.
Open to adults (18+ years) who are currently working in not-for-profit organisations either full-time or part-time and nominated by the community organisation. This award is open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only who are enrolling in a Bay of Plenty Polytechnic programme.
You need to be able to demonstrate a focused intention to succeed within your chosen subject area. The economic needs of the applicant will also be a factor in deciding the scholarships.
When applying you must include with the approved application form, the eomployer nomination form (see the application form below), a brief statement outlining:
- why and how you focused on your chosen subject area
- how financial assistance may be critical to your success
- information on career plans, goals, achievements, community involvement or personal strengths, especially in the area of learning
Additional information which may help the selection committee with their decision may also be provided.
