NZFGW Waikato Branch, Bay of Plenty Polytechnic Awards for Women
The Waikato Branch offers two awards annually to students who are enrolled full-time at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and are in the final year of a Level 6 qualification.
Applicants must be students enrolled full-time in the final year of a qualification at Level 6 or above that is offered by the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and which requires two years or more of full time study. The qualification must be awarded in the name of the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic (not by another institution and taught through Bay of Plenty Polytechnic).
Students may themselves apply for the award or may be nominated by their Head of Department or another senior academic staff member of the departments.
All applicants must complete the formal application form.
Application forms will be available from the office of the Director Academic of the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic. Each application must include:
- the completed application form
- an official copy of the applicant's current academic transcript
- a written statement of up to 200 words on the benefit the applicant hopes to obtain from the award
- a recommendation from the Head of Department or another senior academic staff member of the department
The closing date for applications is 30 April each year. All applications must be submitted to the Director Academic at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, who will forward to the Convenor of the Awards Committee of the NZFGW, a list of applications in ranked order.
If, in the opinion of the committee, applicants are not of acceptable standard, no award will be made. The decision of the committee is final.
