To help encourage local school leavers to continue their studies at Bay of Plenty Polytechnic. Selected students will be able to enter any of the eligible diploma or degree programmes full-time, and will have their fees waived from the first year of the programme. Recipients will still need to meet the published entry criteria for their chose area of study (see Bay of Plenty Polytechnic specific programme brochures for details). The Restaurant Association of New Zealand offers a number of scholarships for secondary school students planning to enrol in a full-time (minimum 24 weeks) hospitality programme, and for hospitality students pursuing Level 4 hospitality units.
