School Liaison
Meet Scott
Scott Henderson is the School Liaison at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and thrives on the non-stop action of his role. He really enjoys spreading his enthusiasm for education to the high school students of our region. There's never a dull moment between presentations, expos, events, campus tours and the myriad of other things going on.
"I'm passionate about education and I enjoy getting out there meeting people and trying to help young adults find the right career path. There are so many options from the trades right through to university degrees."
Scott has a degree in languages and has recently completed a Diploma in Career Guidance. He is the Regional Manager for a student exchange programme mentoring teenagers from across the globe. He has also taught ESL, worked in sales, marketing and tourism roles both in NZ and overseas.
When he is not working, you will most likely to find him with a fishing rod in hand or a surfboard under his arm.

This may even lead to a campus visit or a school visit.
Check out our ‘Ask an Expert’ page to see who’s who in your subject area.
Campus Tours
Senior students can visit our excellent facilities and gain first-hand information about study options and student services. Tours can be general or tailored to suit your students' preferred programme areas, including speaking with tutorial staff and possible interactive activities. Tours of the both the Windermere Campus and Bongard Centre can be arranged on request.
'Student for a Day'
This is an ideal opportunity to experience studying at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic first-hand before enrolling in a full-time programme.
Senior students (years 11-13) can spend the day or half as a 'student' in their chosen subject area, talking with tutors and students about the programme and career options, and investigating the facilities and services we have available on campus. Find out more about 'Student for a Day'.
