Free Health Service!!

A Health Centre is situated at both Windermere Campus (in L4) and the Bongard Centre (Level 1). A Registered Nurse is available for free care and advice. Services include:

• Family Planning Clinic
• Smoking Cessation Support
• Treatment of injuries and minor health problems
• Monitoring of certain conditions such as blood pressure
• Health screening
• Health education

A limited number of doctor's appointments is available free of charge for students once a week at Windermere. Please contact the Health Nurse for more information.

Counselling

A free confidential counselling service is available where students may discuss personal or academic issues affecting their lives. For further information contact the Health Centre. The Nurse at Health Services can also arrange referrals to an off-site counsellor if appropriate.

Security

Windermere and Bongard Campuses are both safe and attractive environments. Security systems are in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week at both campuses to ensure your personal safety and the protection of your property.

Security also have a jumpstart pack for flat batteries.

To comply with the Health and Safety Act 1992 and its amendments, students have a responsibility to ensure their own safety and the safety of others at all times.

The procedures listed in the Health & Safety Document (PDF, 243kb) are in place to ensure your safety while you are studying.
