Student Life

The team at Student Worx aims to enhance your student experience at Bay of Plenty Polytechnic. We co-ordinate sports, cultural and community activities for you including orientation weeks, the annual ski trip, the summer beach bash, quiz nights, and - certainly a social highlight of the year – the student ball.

We also offer services like hardship assistance, accommodation listings and housing, budget advice, pastoral care, sports equipment and board games. You can get copies of the student handbook and wall planners free of charge from our offices at either campus. 

We work alongside BOPPSA and the Waikato Student Union to plan social events and monitor student needs.

Student Job Search

This not-for-profit organisation is an employment agency just for students. It is owned by tertiary student associations throughout the country and is co-funded by the government and the student associations themselves.

Student Job Search Tauranga provides a free service to students during the holidays, allowing you the opportunity to secure employment in a variety of industries. Outside the holidays a fee applies for using the service.
