Group Leader - Road Transport

The Bay of Plenty Polytechnic has an exciting opportunity for a Group Leader role in Road Transport within the School of Applied Technology. As Group Leader the successful applicant will lead the Road Transport team in teaching, research and programme development, as well as taking part in teaching on the programmes.

Reporting to the Head of School, this is a great opportunity for someone who has a tertiary qualification together with extensive knowledge and experience within the road transport industry. The successful applicant will also be able to demonstrate previous management experience.

Key responsibilities include:

· Leading by example by personally delivering a proportion of the study programmes

· Ensuring the delivery and development of excellent and innovative education programmes

· Achieving exceptional outcomes for the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic by leading and mentoring team members

· Strategic planning and project management

· Working closely with industry to develop relevant new programmes

· Budgeting, planning and general administration
