Student street parade rocks the town!

More than 400 Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and University of Waikato students livened up Tauranga’s CBD on Wednesday 3rd March. The lunchtime extravaganza saw a plethora of floats, bright costumes and people having fun in the sun.

Staff, students, and the odd passerby joined the parade as they headed along the Strand and looped around Gray Street, along Elizabeth Street and down Devonport Road back to the Strand. Partying hard to the sounds of local Tauranga-based Group Capoeira Brasil, the students celebrated the beginning of the new tertiary year in style!
