If automotive electrical and mechanical engineering works for you, we train in all systems starting with a strong focus on fundamentals and principles then continuing to diagnostics, gas analysis, electronics, complex repairs and business management. We offer two unique automotive engineering courses from our excellent facilities at Windermere campus in Tauranga.

As a student here you can gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a fully functional automotive workshop. You'll be working at our Bay Auto Service Centre, which offers a full range of automotive servicing and repair work to all of our current students and staff. You'll use highly specialised machinery, gaining valuable skills in diagnostics and repair, and you'll get expert training in customer service and time management. Bay Auto Service Centre is a member of the Motor Trade Association (MTA) and all work is guaranteed for a period of six months or 10,000km.

You can study with us as a full time student or in our managed apprenticeship scheme for the first two years then continue for the next two in our managed apprenticeship to fully qualified at level 4.

Please note a current NZTA Class 1R (restricted) driver license is required. You will also be required to manoeuvre and road test customers’ cars, so a conscientious and careful driving attitude is essential.
