Electrical Competence Programme (formerly Electrical Safety Refresher)
Need to renew your Electrical Practising License? In just one 3-5 hour study course you can meet your obligations to the Electrical Workers Registration Board and have peace of mind.
Every New Zealand electrician has to attend a course like this every 24 months to renew their Electrical Practising Licence.
Participants are offered two modules – Electrical Safety and Testing (3 hours) and the First Aid/CPR Refresher (2 hours). Anyone with a current First Aid/CPR certificate completed in the past two years, only needs to complete the Electrical Safety and Testing module.
This programme includes two modules. Enrol for one or both modules, depending on what you require.
- Electrical Safety & Testing (3 hours)
- First Aid/CPR Refresher (2 hours)
If you hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate (completed within the last two years), you'll only need to enrol in the Electrical Safety course.
It is essential that you bring your EWRB registration number to the Electrical Safety course. The Electrical Safety course includes practical testing; if you have your own testing equipment please bring it with you.
The programme is held on a Friday; Electrical Safety 9.00am to 12.00pm and the First Aid/CPR Refresher 12.30pm to 2.30pm. There will be a break 12.00pm to 12.30pm.
NB: the 27 October offerering is Electrical Safety & Testing ONLY.
It is essential you are not late as hours have been kept to a minimum.
