New Zealand Certificate in Computing (User Fundamentals) (Level 2)

This course of study is designed to improve your digital literacy. You might be returning to the workforce or simply wanting to keep up with technology and meet and learn with others.

You'll use a range of software tools and applications that are freely available online to create and share digital content including images, audio and video. You'll learn how to connect and collaborate with others online, and have the opportunity to use a range of digital devices including PCs, phones and tablets. You'll also learn about basic troubleshooting and personal cyber-safety.

Are you a life-long learner looking for new challenge? If you want to improve your basic computing skills then this course is for you.

During this course you’ll learn basic troubleshooting for your phones and devices. We’ll show you how to use Google Drive and Docs to create, store and share documents. You’ll learn how to build a simple website using Google Sites. You might even like to have a go at programming with simple and fun tools.

This course is an opportunity to meet with others, to learn and share together. You will work with a team of people on a simple digital project that will provide a service to your community. You'll participate in discussions about new digital culture and personal cyber safety.
