This qualification's designed to give you everything you need for an entry-level career in a range of primary industry sectors, including practical skills in agriculture, horticulture and/or conservation.
The learning provides a good balance of theory and practice, and also helps you develop your numeracy and literacy skills related to these types of careers.
The course content covers a range of primary industry skills from practical production tasks to an in depth look at a range of primary industry workplaces.
This programme is 12 weeks long plus a 2 week study break in the middle. Intakes in locations other than those listed can be arranged to meet demand - please enquire.

Upon successful completion of the programme you will receive:
- New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2)
Graduates of the New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) programme will be able to pursue entry-level employment and career opportunities within the primary industry sector.
Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology PathwaysNew Zealand Certificate in Organic Primary Production (Level 4)
Open entry. Applicants will be assessed for their ability to meet the academic, and health and safety requirements of the programme.
Entry to the New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) programme will be in accordance with the criteria specified in the Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology Regulatory Framework (Academic Regulations).
